Common Questions and Misperceptions about Creatine Supplementation

Joint initiative bridges early literacy, pediatric development, and proactive longevity through free public events starting September 2026.

Petoskey District Library (PDL) and Table Health are proud to announce a new joint programming initiative, “Wellness in the Stacks,” designed to unite personal health, active living, and community literacy. The ongoing collaboration transforms the library into a vibrant community health hub, bringing direct medical expertise and accessible educational resources to local families and residents free of charge.

Kickstarting this fall, the partnership introduces a doctor-led educational series hosted at the Petoskey District Library, pairing whole-person medical care with the library’s extensive learning materials. Beyond events, the two organizations are aligning to integrate literacy into primary care, including cross-promoting PDL’s TALK text-to-learn program in clinic exam rooms and developing local literacy initiatives for young children.

“Public libraries and direct primary care practices really have a lot in common. We’re both focused on giving people the tools, resources, and support they need to live healthier, happier lives,” said Jodi Haven, Assistant Director/Circulation Supervisor at Petoskey District Library. “Working with Table Health lets us bring health and wellness into the library in a really meaningful way, connecting physical and emotional wellbeing with the information and resources people already turn to us for. It’s a great way to support the health of our whole community, from one generation to the next.”

“Healthcare should never be rushed, nor should it happen in a silo,” added Dr. Kendal Hansen, Family Physician at Table Health. “By stepping out of the exam room and into the library, we can meet families where they are, offering actionable knowledge on brain development, stress management, and long-term vitality.”
